1 Overall Job Purpose
1.1 Manage all maintenance activities on the FPSO process and utilities plant in a safe and efficient manner, being aware of safety of others, effective utilization of FPSO systems and processes related to FPSO operations, ensuring compliance with company and statutory requirements and in line with the 35 x Performance standards/associated assurance tasks.
Provides and Manages all maintenance activities for Topsides and Engine room/Utilities as directed by relevant Discipline Supervisor on the FPSO.
Manage all preventative and corrective maintenance, shutdowns, isolations and planned maintenance in accordance with the CMMS ensuring.
All maintenance and maintenance related activities are carried out to the highest standards.
All test and inspection routines required by the Planned Maintenance System are completed.
Proper records/history and reports are maintained.
Review and update Job descriptions for planned maintenance as required.
Be familiar with and lead by example with the Facility’s plant and machinery their safe operation and maintenance and will ensure knowledge of safety requirements including work permit systems, operational and emergency procedures, company policy and instructions.
2 Core Responsibilities
2.1 Ensure the safe and efficient functioning of all process plant equipment and machinery related to the Marine and Catering Departments and emergency equipment thru the manage and control the Maintenance Department Offshore.
2.2 Ensure that PTW system is adhered to and that all isolations are in compliance with the MODEC Isolation Philosophy, performing periodic visits on the plant and frequently PTW audits. Act as Area Authority under MODEC PTW system.
2.3 Vendor Management: Ensure that Maintenance Contractors are managed safely and effectively, providing for FPSO familiarization of planned work scopes and work with arranging, reviewing, planning, engaging and management of a vendor as required on the facility to complete work activities.
2.4 Maintain and order stocks of spare parts, consumables, tools, Marine Gas Oil (MGO Bunker according the agreement with Client), lubricating oils and chemicals related to Maintenance Department thru the close follow up the inventory reports.
2.5 Ensure that materials received are fit for purpose and revert to the FPSO dedicated buyer if any problem is envisaged via Storeman, constantly checking with the Storeman the material received on board.
2.6 Communicate to the OIM, Maintenance Engineer, Operations Engineer, AM Coordinator and Operation Manager, machinery and equipment deficiencies, request technical advice as necessary and prepare, follow up and close out any necessary vendor assistance on board in liaison with relevant Superintendents.
2.7 Manage CMMS system (SAP) ensuring that tasks are allocated to the various responsible staff, execution performed on time and all relevant information included into the system are accurate, following up the Maintenance Philosophy.
2.8 Contribute with the implementation of maintenance as well as failure analysis, where applicable, providing technical advice.
2.9 Provide relevant advice to assess maintenance and equipment performance, giving appropriate recommendation for implementation of facilities and maintenance performance.
2.10 Maximize the ability of plant and equipment and optimize control of spares, following up the Maintenance Philosophy.
2.11 Review and rationalize Preventive Maintenance procedures, evaluate and optimize maintenance routines along with other onboard Operational personnel and Reliability team, reading, analyzing and providing technical input.
2.12 Manage and motivate Maintenance Team to maintain the highest safety performance leading by the example.
2.13 Promote and encourage a team that doesn’t tolerate any outstanding safety critical PM’s in accordance to our KPI’s, coaching the team about the SCE principals, Process Standards and Assurance Tasks.
2.14 Manage all spares and stores on the facility, doing close follow up the facility condition and base of it act when required.
2.15 Assist with OPEX budget preparation and execution and raising awareness of OPEX responsibilities with team members, providing technical information to Onshore team.
2.16 Participate in the effective monitoring, audit, and review of management systems and procedures, and to contribute to their future development where appropriate, thru the properly duties.
2.17 Promote safety and application of MOSEN management system through the dissemination of safety culture and compliance with current procedures and policies.
2.18 Ensure that all maintenance personnel are familiar with MODEC HSEQ policies; understand their emergency response duties and that MODEC HSEQ policy is clearly understood as well as the HSEQ MS Roles and Responsibilities, being a coach to the team about the procedures on daily basis using the examples.
2.19 Fill up on daily basis Daily Operations Report – DOR with information relevant to maintenance.
2.20 Be part of the Emergency Response Team, participating in all trainings, simulations and act properly in a real situation.
2.21 Ensure annual departmental performance evaluations of the department personnel are made in accordance with the proposed schedule and procedures of MOSEN, expressing the actual situation of each supervised employee.
2.22 Participate in public and / or private events on behalf of MOSEN as required and requested by the Unit's Operations Manager.
2.23 Assume the responsibilities of the offshore installation manager (OIM) whenever designated by the operations manager, and / or the OIM is incapacitated, by complying with all training, procedures and responsibilities relevant to the function.
3 HSEQ Requirements and Code of Conduct
3.1 HSEQ: Complies with the MODEC HSEQ Code of Conduct as described in the HSEQ Policies, the 14 HSEQ Standards, and the HSEQ Procedures to protect people and the environment at all times. Has a duty of care to ensure that all personnel work in a manner that is not harmful to their own health and safety and the health and safety of others.
3.2 Compliance: Complies with the MODEC Group Policy Code of Business Conduct and Ethics and expected training at all times.
3.3 Emergency Plan: Complies with the Regulatory and Required by Modec Training Management Procedure (0005-MSB60-HRP1-0314), Shore base Incident Management Plan (0005-MSB60-15SM-1001) and FPSO/FSO Master Field Response Plan (0005-MSB60-15SM-1002).
4 Financial and Operational Dimensions / Impact and Decision-making Authority
4.1 Complies with Authorization Matrix Procedure (0005-MSB60-15SM-0101-02).
4.2 Control of Maintenance budget, to maintain the uptime and integrity of the facility, provide sufficient spares onboard or in country to meet uptime KPI.
5 Work Relationships
5.1 Reports directly to: Offshore Installation Manager - OIM
5.2 Direct reports: E&I Supervisor, Mechanical Supervisor, Chief Engineer, Equipment Inspector and Operation Scheduler.
5.3 Peers and / or other positions reporting to the same manager: Production Superintendent, Marine Superintendent.

Manage day – to –day disciplinary and performance issues on board, in conjunction with OIM.

Identify and propose ideas and solutions that will increase efficiency and minimize time without loss of integrity and present idea(s) to relevant management team.
Actively participate and/or contribute toward defect elimination/system ownership focus groups, with a view to provide onshore teams with first-hand knowledge of the offshore facility.
Be familiar with the Facility’s process plant and machinery and leading by example ensure their safe operation and maintenance.
Have good knowledge of safety requirements including work permit systems, operational and emergency procedures, company policy and instructions.
6.2 Engage the department personnel on the competency development during their off time, due to innumerable activities that are continuously ongoing and the reduced number of people per shift, which hardly ever allows this development during the working hours.
6.3 Keep proximity and alignment of activities between offshore and onshore support teams, due to the distance and difference between activities carried out by each part.
7 Qualifications & Experience
7.1 Educational Qualification:
High School Degree - Mandatory.
Technical School Degree – Expected.
Bachelor’s Degree in engineering – Mandatory.
7.2 Certifications:
-Technical certificates.
-Certificate to satisfy Class and Flag requirements.
-Maintenance Supervisor MOU as example.
-Maintenance Supervisor License.
7.3 Trainings: Complies with the Training Matrix and Regulatory and Required by Modec Training Management Procedure (0005-MSB60-HRP1-0314).
7.4 Relevant Experience:
10-15 years of Maintenance experience Offshore oil and gas/ FPSO experience or relevant industry experience such Refinery or Petrochemical as Department Manager.
Solid knowledge of facility asset integrity management principles, maintenance reliability, RBIs and corrosion management.
Relevant operating experience on FPSO or tanker operations, process/marine maintenance and Class requirements, hull, structure, tanks, etc., for the safe and efficient operation of process plant and machinery installed on the FPSO.
Experience with Safety Management Systems and CMMS (Computerized Planned Maintenance Systems) SAP and AMOS.
Experience managing inspection/corrosion management plans, teams and reporting on.
Pressure equipment and piping system basic design/fabrication knowledge.
Authorized Mechanical isolating authority.
Management of Major Emergency response duties/firefighting team trained.
